It’s been a rough week. In some ways, one of the worst…not necessarily in outcome of events, but in emotional and spiritual angst, certainly. I’ve been working on a post for 2 days, which may or may not ever see the light of day here. It still needs time and prayer. Maybe it’s just for me – catharsis. Maybe it’ll be something I sense God telling me might help or encourage someone else. We’ll see…
…In the meantime thought I would share something fun, frivolous and totally girly. It cracks me up that I would share it because, though I’m normally pretty happy with my 45-year old size 10s in general, I just couldn’t come up with pics I felt were “cute”. Hubby’s on “stay-cay”. We’ve had drama. We’ve had projects. It’s been a hundred and million-teen degrees outside. We’ve had insomnia. I figured showing you my chubby, dirty, under-moisturized tootsies would just be keeping it real!
A girl just needs a little FUN, ya know? The 2 colors I used were Essie’s Lapiz of Luxury and Navigate Her. Blue and green are pretty much go-to colors with me, so it’s cool that the mani/pedi rules have loosened up in recent years {even for us old middle-aged mamas}.

Tomorrow evening it’s another crazy family birthday get-together for a niece and nephew. While discussing a possible theme with her grandmother my niece decided it should be a costume party. I think I came up with a pretty great costume. I’ll share it with you next week.
Oh how cute! I love your toenail polish with the two-toned thing goin’ on Lisa! It’s fun being a girl! (Even at my age, I still love being a girl!)
Can’t wait to see you tomorrow at the party. I am sure you have come up with a creative costume.
Love ya, Momma

I hope you have had a turn around in whatever adverse circumstances you’re going through. I’m such a pink or red polish girl, I need to branch out! 🙂 Thanks for your kind comment on my new dishes.

Thanks, Elizabeth. God is faithful. It is still hard, but He will see us through it! I don’t know how many times, over how many years, I looked at blue and green nail polishes before I ever bought one. I usually talked myself out of it and told myself I was too old, etc….but I think summer is the perfect time to play, especially on the toes 🙂

I think you must have the shortest, little chubby toes I have ever seen on an adult! I like the colors you have chosen to use. They are very summery and breezy looking.
