31 Days of Progress Day 20 :: Cute Fall Color Plus a Giveaway

If you ever attended a Southern Living at Home party back in the day you probably saw the Petals of Light candle holders.  These were a favorite with customers.  I was a consultant for a while {as well as for it’s sister/spin-off company, with which it has now merged to become Willow House}.  Anyway, probably during a special deal I picked up a number of these cute little sets.

They were designed to hold tealight candles and are plenty deep for that purpose.  Probably the other most popular use people found for them was to hold individual portions of dipping sauces!  They are small enough to be a fun little accent somewhere, but big enough to make them versatile. How about placing one in the middle of each place setting with some split peas or popping corn in them, with a place card tucked in?  Or, fill them with candy corn so everyone has their own little snack.  I think I have mainly used them to hold tealights.

You can use them in trios {one red, one yellow, one green} for some bright fall color.  You can use the red and green together for great traditional Christmas color.  The yellow and green look great for spring, too.  It really just depends on your decor and your imagination!

Well, because I love you {and maybe because I just posted on trading in covetousness for contentment}, I am going to give one precious reader 3 sets of Petals of Light candle holders {2 each of red, yellow and green}!! These are NIB {new, in box}.  I wasn’t sure about a value, so I did a little googling and discovered that new sets are selling for between $10-15 each…which would make 3 sets about $30-45. The red ones were the most popular with my customers and seem to be the most rare. But I think the real value is in receiving them as a gift sent with genuine love for sharing your generous time to read my little bloggy. 🙂 {wish I could make my smiley blush}
